Fake Christmas Trees and Trash

I happened to notice this afternoon that the church had a clean-up day and removed a number of things to the street for "bulk trash day." I spotted a fake Christmas tree within the rubble and was quik to point out the object to my friends. Which begs the question, we buy these fake trees but they end up in the same place as the real trees, on the curb or in a fire. So why not just by the real thing from the get-go? It smells a whole better.
